Quoit (near St Cleer) – Check out "The Giant's House,"
five standing stones supporting a tilted capstone. This dolmen was a Neolithic
burial chamber 3500 years ago. The rocks look like something a kid might
stack up, except these stones are immense! |

Inn (Bolventor) – Stop in for lunch or dinner at the infamous 18th
century Jamaica Inn, immortalized by Daphne Du Maurier. After your meal,
visit the Jamaica Inn Story, waxwork tableaux with scenes from the
novel, and a smugglers museum, with all kinds of things smugglers
used to hide the contraband – shoes with false heels, hollowed-out
potatoes, women's clothing. Jamaica Inn is kid-friendly, and there's a large play area with swings and slides. |
