Sonoma Coast

The Sonoma Coast begins at Bodega Bay, and extends north past Fort Ross, which was a Russian settlement in the 19th century. The wide Russian River, popular with families for boating in summer, flows from Guerneville into the ocean around Jenner. Inland, hike through majestic coast redwoods. All along the Sonoma Coast, there's gray whale watching in winter, and year round, kids can look for otters, sea lions and harbor seals in the waves.
