Geneva is a compact and very walkable city. The Rhone River divides the city’s left and right banks, but the city is easily accessible with zippy trams that go everywhere and yellow ferries cruising back and forth across the lake. Full of lakeside promenades and cobbled streets lined with cafes, there are lots of nooks and crannies to explore with kids in Geneva. With lots of good weather days, plan for "picque-niques" along the way (Geneva is in the French speaking part of Switzerland). |

| Tip: Hotels provide a free Geneva Transport Card during your stay, good for all the trams, buses, and Mouette boats. Also, ask at your hotel for Plan de Reseau, a free map of all the lines, or click here for the map online. Tip: Strollers are okay on trams or boats. |
