Robert Burns National Heritage Park (Alloway, near Ayr) Robert Burns, best loved poet and songwriter who wrote Auld Lang
Syne, grew up in Alloway. Burns Cottage, a classic thatched roof cottage,
faithfully recreates Burns' home life. The Tam O' Shanter Experience multimedia
presentation covers the life of Robert Burns and one of his best known tales,
"Tam O' Shanter," a story of witches and warlocks and a mare that loses
