It's all happening at the Toronto Zoo, a half hour
drive north of downtown Toronto. The zoo is open every day except December
25th and has over 5,000 animals, making this one of the world's best zoos.
Kids will enjoy a wagon ride and animals of Canada in the Canadian zone
(take the Grizzly Bear Trail). For a small
fee get a great view on the Zoomobile tram (get off and on along the route).
(Tip: Use your Toronto
CityPass.) |

The McMichael Collection Get to know the Group
of Seven at the The McMichael Collection, about 45 minutes north of
downtown. The gallery sits in the midst of beautiful trees: a perfect setting
for this private collection of landscapes by Canada's most important art
movement. The stunning paintings done in the early 1900s of Canadian scenes
appeal to almost everyone and stopping here is a great way to get a feel
for the passion Canadians have for their country's grand wilderness. |

Paramount Wonderland If you're ready
to just let loose, check out the Paramount Wonderland. A spectacularly large
amusement park with over four dozen rides (including 10 roller coasters).
On hot days the big attraction is Splashworks, a huge water
park. And when you just want to sit down, head for the Kingswood Theatre where they naturally feature Paramount movies and videos. |
