Tokyo Tower (Roppongi) If you've
been to the Eiffel Tower in Paris, you'll want to visit the Tokyo Tower.
It looks like the Eiffel tower, only painted orange and white stripes, and
is 13 meters taller. The Tokyo Tower is not just ornamental; TV channels
and FM radio are broadcast from the tower. You can climb up (kids will want
to do that), or take the elevator to the two observation decks. Tokyo Tower
is also beautifully lit up at night, so come back in the evening. If it
isn't a clear day, visit the aquarium or bowling center at the base of the
tower. |

Shiba Park (Roppongi) Across from the
Tokyo Tower is Shiba Park (Shiba Koen), strewn with cherry trees and a popular
site for cherry blossom viewing in the spring. |

Take in the Zojoji temple and gardens where you can
see a rock with the Buddha's footsteps, a large temple bell and rows of
Jizo statues, small clay figurines with red hats, holding pinwheels that
spin in the wind. |
