a 20 min. ride on a charming 19th century-style miniature train from Porte
Maillot to the entrance of the Jardin d'Acclimatation. |

House Mirrors and Riviere Enchantee – Just a short walk
from the Petit Train station, get a laugh at the fun house mirrors, or ride
on the "Enchanted River," a mechanized boat ride. |

The
"Village des Maneges" is a low key amusement park, especially
good for little ones, with everything from a merry-go-round, bumper cars
to "les petits chevaux" – carousel horses on a mechanized
track. |

Farm
and "Les Animaux" – Stop to see an aviary, the three
bears – Gaspard, Gilda and Victorine, Normandy farmhouse and
farm animals, petting zoo. |

Explor@dome – A hands-on science, art and multimedia museum, where kids
can experiment with light and sound, music, building arches, optical illusions. |

areas – There are several excellent playgrounds with slides
and climbing structures, one for kids over 10 years, the other for kids
under 10. The Maison Enchantee, a discovery space, is just for kids
under 4 years old. |

Theatre de Guignol – Take in a 30 min. puppet show. Shows
are Wed.,Sat. and Sun. and every day during school vacations. |

golf – If the weather's good, an 18 hole mini-golf course
is fun for the whole family, and trampolines. |

Picnic
areas – Bring your lunch, and join all the other French families
with their picnics, enjoying the shade, grass, and picnic areas. |

Rent bicycles – Take a long bike ride through
the park. Rent bikes near the Lac Inferieur, or near the entrance to the
Jardin D'Acclimatation. Kids' bikes and bikes with kid seats are available. |

Boats – Rent a wooden rowboat at the Lac Inferieur
and float around the little islands in the lake. Or take the little barge
across the lake to the Chalet des Iles. Watch the radio controlled boats
on the Lac Superieur. |

Ice skating – After a new snow, the Bois
de Boulogne is a sparkling fairyland. There's ice skating on the Lac pour
le Patinage. |

Tip: There are cafes and restaurants in
the Bois de Boulogne, but come with a picnic, if the weather is nice. |
