but didn't check out. Sir Walter Raleigh certainly had comfy digs for a
detainee (but he spent years in the Tower). Anne Boleyn lost her head on
the Tower Green. In the Beauchamp Tower, prisoners carved
their names in stone (don't try this at home). The White Tower, which
dates back to the reign of William the Conquerer, is filled with classic
armor and medieval weaponry. |

The ravens, tagged with colored leg bands, guard the tower. For centuries,
the ravens have inhabited the Tower, and according to legend, if the ravens
