Going to the Wild Animal Park is the quickest way to take
an African safari. Ride the one hour Wgasa Bush Line monorail, where
you'll see herds of elephants, rhinos, giraffes, zebras and antelopes. Keep
your eyes peeled for the big horn sheep hopping on the rocks or and you
can't miss those huge black-winged vultures with pink bald heads. |

At Lorikeet Landing, buy nectar and these colorful
birds will land on your hand! (Who can resist photos?) Little kids will
enjoy the Petting Kraal (petting zoo) and play area. Don't miss the elephant and bird shows. |

The Wild Animal Park also breeds the highly endangered California
condor (chicks were originally fed with hand puppets); when the condors
are big enough, they are released back into the wild. To see the condors,
visit Condor Ridge. |

Check out the new Discovery Station with musical instruments, puppets and animal toys, perfect for little ones. There's also a playground with the Samburu jungle gym and picnic area. |

During the summer, the Wild Animal Park is open at night;
it's a treat to take the monorail through the darkness on a warm night.
Or, sign up for Family Caravan Tours take a safari truck
into the field exhibits and feed a giraffe (families with kids ages 6 and up). |

Roar & Snore Want to spend the
night the Wild Animal Park? You can sign up Roar and Snore (ages 8 and up,
with parents), February November. Sit around the campfire, and,
