    fun places to stay tuscany
Ready to explore the hill towns of Tuscany, climb up the medieval towers of San Gimignano, visit the Pinocchio park in Collodi, check out the Roman-Etruscan ruins in Volterra, inspect Leonardo's inventions in his home town of Vinci, you'll need a fun place to stay. Family-friendly accommodations are a snap on Travel for Kids.

Here's our own Travel for Kids hand-picked list for Tuscany. One our favorite things to do is to rent a house, in areas within walking distance to villages or close to larger cities. A vacation rental has lots of advantages for families – a kitchen and refrigerator, so you don't need to eat all your meals in restaurants, room to spread out all your stuff (kids can have a room of their own), and cost savings for larger families. Our house rentals are selected for their amenities, such as swimming pools, outdoor dining, laundry facilities, proximity to food stores, short stays are possible, cribs can be requested, family-friendly restored castles, and more.

Tip: For house rentals, if you're planning to travel in summer, reserve well in advance (January and February is a good time).
